If I try to catch up and blog everything that's happened since I last blogged, I just won't... so instead I'm going to act as though I blogged yesterday :).
Today I had two classes, Philosophy and Scripture, but I spent the greater part of the day studying, and I shall spend all night studying for tomorrow's biology class full length test #2.
I shan't bore you with trying to outdo you all with how much studying I have, hehe... but let it suffice to stay I can study from 5AM to midnight, and STILL have stuff to read/write! It's insane.
Tonight I went to a talk by Fr. Dave Pivonka on Entertainment and what we as Catholics should be doing about it. AWESOME!!!!!!!! It's times like this that I'm SO glad I'm here!! He's gotten me on fire and now I want to go out and change the world, or at least my cirlce of friends, lol.
Flag Football sports writing takes up a lot of time and it doesn't pay enough so I was thinking about backing out of it, but there are so few games in the season that I can probably stick it out... but I most likely won't do it again next semester.
This week I'm hoping to go to Pennsylvania with Peggy to stay at her house for the weekend. Say a prayer for that, 'cause if it's bad then I'll be stuck at her house all weekend, and if it's good, I won't get any studying done, hehehe.
Pick of the Day: Deodorant. Quite a few people on campus don't seem to realize that it exists. Please join the select few who actually believe in personal hygeine and wear deodorant!! Thank you. =D

I got a kick out of this.... "District Attorney Bill Hill said he could not cite any law that McKinley broke. 'He violated the law of stupidity if nothing else,' Hill said."
There's so much to say I almost don't want to say any of it, 'cause then I'll never stop :). I'll try to be brief, though.
Tomorrow is my first full-length test, and it will be on biology. I should be studying right now, so I'll REALLY have to make this brief :).
Honors is great, but a LOT of work. I basically have to read (and carefully study) a hundred pages a night for that class. Right now we're still reading the Iliad.
I got a job as a sports writer for the school newspaper. I have to cover single A girl's flag football, lol! I'm really looking forward to it, though :-D.
The food here is good, but not great. The pizza tastes GREAT and the desserts and pasta and sandwiches and salads are great... I guess it's just if you decide to go for the entrees, they're kinda weird/gross.
My other classes are all pretty cool. I like Philosophy and Scripture, but my "Foundations of Catholicism" class is kinda boring. I do have to write a 5 page paper for that next week, though, and I haven't started reading the book! Ouch, I should really get off!
Pick of the Day: Cyrano de Bergerac. My sister has been telling me all about it... READ THE BOOK, it's EXCELLENT!

I'm about to watch TTT... life is good!
I'm still having a bit of trouble settling in and finding people who think like I do, but it's not quite so hopeless now. I found one girl on the floor beneath me, but she lives relatively closely so she goes home a lot (so there's less of a chance to "chill" with her). I'm sure life'll get better soon, though.
Sissi and Emily... the FUS girl's basketball team plays Christendom on November 7th! I want to come!! Wouldn't that be awesome??
I've got to go study for Scripture... we have to learn Greek! (at least the alphabet, pronunciations, transliterations, etc.) I haven't even started and I've had all week. This isn't boding well for my study habits. I'd better get to work!
Somebody tag! Let me know I'm not COMPLETELY friendless!
Pick of the Day: Flip flops. No socks required... no style required. Period :).

Things are looking up... but not much :). I bought my books today... $360. It's outrageous, but I think I can handle it (although I won't be spending anymore money in the near future!).
I went to the Honors Presentation this morning.. and I think I bit off a lot more than I can chew, but hey... you gotta keep chewing!
Adios!
Pick of the Day: Sticky notes! They're GREAT for writing notes to yourself! They're GREAT for writing notes to others! They're GREAT! Go out and buy a pack!

I won't bore you all with stories of Orientation or the like... let it suffice to say, I'm here.
I'm not particularly having the time of my life, but I guess once classes start (and Walker gets here and I can find the right crowd to hang with) it'll be okay. Unfortunately since my roommate won't get here until tomorrow I've been hanging with the two directly across the hall. At first I thought they'd be pretty cool, but I think they're kinda dead-heads. Everybody else in the entire building is talking to one another, and here we are sitting like three ducks in a row. Meals are still the best time to meet people, 'cause you have to sit at a table with other people, and usually when people are being fed, they're happy =). Just please pray for me!
Well... I'm gonna call home... adios!
Pick of the Day: Mountain Dew. Have you had one lately? If not, you must not realize that they're a great combiation of caffiene and carbonation. I highly recommend getting a nice tall cold one!

Well, tomorrow is the big day. I fly out of DFW at 5:50 AM (Central) and arrive in Atlanta at 8:54 AM (Eastern). From there I'll fly to Pittsburgh and arrive there at 1:50 PM (Eastern). I hope and pray I'll have enough room to pack everything. I leave in a few hours, and I'm only half packed. Oh well.
Since I last blogged I've been doing tons of good-byes, shopping, shopping, good-byes, and shopping. I'm done! Phew. Now to pack all of the stuff I packed is going to be another story. HELP!!!
I have an interesting little tidbit of information for Mr. Gerardi (who's having loads of fun in Indiana, I'm sure), Fresno California is the second most polluted city in America =). They might have great citrus, but I bet they've got to clean 'em well ;). I'm somewhat happy to report that Dallas is 30 on that list... not good, but not too bad.
Sissi! Sissi! How I'll miss thee!! We'll have to keep up in e-mail!
I must go pack. Ugh. See y'all on the other side!
Pick of the Day: Weight lifting. Start with light weights and do them slowly. It's an easy exercise that makes you feel great without having to do a whole lot of sweating... the results are pretty cool too. Girls don't bulk up, but the toning is pretty cool (I wouldn't quite know, but I do know that when I weightlift small weights I feel and look a lot better within a few weeks).
Y'all... PLEASE pray for me! Especially pray for my roommate and stuff (and that I'll finish packing and have enough room for everything).

I made Greek Baklava for the potluck. It turned out very very good :). Next time I'll add more syrup, though.
I am going to start clothes shopping today. We'll see how it works, but it might happen that way =). Please please pray that I can get stylish and flattering clothes that are modest and cheap. I hate clothes shopping because I can never find MODEST clothing (That doesn't look Puritanical), and if I do, it's so expensive! I'm gonna try Kohls and Old Navy, and I did get a $50 gift certificate to Nordstrom, so I might try that. Ugh.. I HATE shopping!
I need to read the Iliad, but I've only got a few days. Can it be done? We'll see =D.
Pick of the Day: Velcro rollers (sorry guys). They make your hair look great, they don't burn you (like hot rollers or curling irons), and they're easy!!
